WOX Expands Electric Mobility Solutions for Urban and Feeder Routes

Two complementary WOX electric formats support urban, metro-feeder, shuttle and short-distance passenger operations.

Public transport networks do not operate with a single route profile. Main urban corridors require dependable passenger capacity and daily operational consistency, while feeder and shuttle services depend on manoeuvrability, efficient vehicle sizing and flexible deployment. WOX addresses these different needs with two complementary electric mobility configurations: a 7-metre WOX electric city-bus solution and a compact 5.4-metre electric passenger solution.

7 m electric city-bus solution for urban operations

The 7 m WOX configuration is designed as a compact starting point for urban trunk, metro-feeder and city operations. Final battery, passenger capacity, steering position, charging interface, mandatory equipment and homologation are confirmed for the destination market and operating project.

5.4 m electric passenger solution for flexible services

For branch-route, shuttle, group and short-distance passenger operations, the 5.4 m WOX configuration provides a compact format designed around manoeuvrability and correctly sized capacity. Final specification is defined according to route, payload, climate, charging readiness and local requirements.

From vehicle selection to route fit

WOX evaluates more than vehicle length or battery size. Passenger demand, daily distance, terrain, climate, charging availability, steering position and local homologation requirements shape the final solution. This route-first approach helps operators and distribution partners move from a catalogue choice to a configuration designed around real operating conditions.
